CEOs, including Senior Pastors and School / College Principals, sit in a unique position, generally being the only staff member in the Board team, and the only Board representative in the Staff team. It can be a role full of opportunity and excitement, but also challenges and sometimes isolation.
The CMA CEO Network provides a curated community where Christian CEOs can connect with others in similar roles: applicants must sign a code of conduct to be admitted. This helps create an environment that allows members to build trust, and learn from the experience and wisdom of their peers. There are conversations that CEOs can’t have with staff team members, or board members, and sometimes the people most appropriate to have these conversations with are other CEOs.
Many leaders are not actually CEOs, and for the sake of clarity, we have created a page describing what we do and don’t mean by CEO. Careful curation of the CEO Network and CEO events are an important part of ensuring that if you are a member of this network, you are genuinely among people who really do relate to your unique role.
