Let’s Talk about a Theology of Governance

CMA members are invited to join us for a conversation about a Practical Theology of Ministry Governance. Many of us believe there are significant differences in governance in Christian organisations, compared to other non-profit organisations. This has implications for the tens of thousands who sit on church and ministry boards in Australia, because these people not only need to be fully conversant with regular concepts, principles and practices of non-profit governance, but they need to understand how these interplay with our Christian faith.

For some time, CMA has been working towards developing a new suite of Ministry Board Training programs, but our work is now accelerating, and our intention is to build these programs upon a theological underpinning. Although we are now having conversations privately with a range of people, and are discovering prior work done on this topic, we would love to invite a broader audience into the conversation.

In the spirit of these ‘Let’s Talk About …’ member-only discussions, there will be no formal presentation, but rather an online meeting, a few brief observations from invited experts, and an open discussion. If you are interested in this topic, and are a CMA Member, you’re invited to join us at 1pm (NSW / VIC time) on November 19th – but you need to join us live to participate, as no recording will be provided.
