Description

The Courts have provided some important guidance and understanding of the governance of Churches and their liabilities in recent months. Elizabeth Shalders will unpack the Queensland Presbyterian Court case, and Murray Baird will explain the new developments in liability for caring for children in the Church and instances of defamation and freedom of expression. Myles McGregor-Lowndes will examine recent cases involving the revocation of significant gifts, misdescribed bequests to churches, and gender identity-related conflicts involving religion.
