Understanding an organisation’s finances is a fundamental responsibility and obligation that applies to all board members – event those who aren’t finance professionals. In this webinar, pitched at an introductory level for interns involved in The Board Internship program, Helen Boucher and Elton Teh from Saward Dawson, will give an overview to help attendees understand basic finances.
The presentation will run for 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the general audience. At the 30-minute mark, the public meeting will conclude, and the Board Interns will remain behind for a more extended discussion with Gary. A recording of the first 30 minutes will be provided to all registered participants after the webinar is complete, so even if you can’t attend live, register now to ensure you get the recording.

Elton joined Saward Dawson’s Audit and Assurance division as a graduate. With the advent of the NDIS, he chose to take a role as a management consultant in order to assist clients who were struggling through significant funding reform in the disability and community health sectors.
Elton has experience with a wide variety of clients from publicly listed clients to small not-for-profits. He actively participates in process improvement projects for both internal and external stakeholders.
Elton prides himself on really caring for his clients and partnering with clients in order to make sure that they can continue doing what they do best. He is passionate about advising clients in proactively addressing changing environments and pulling the right financial and strategic levers to drive long term success.
