ABOUT CITYREACH WEST

CityReach West Church is located in Hindmarsh, South Australia, and was planted in June 2016 to share the good news of Jesus with people in the inner West suburbs of Adelaide. We are a multi-generational church of around 400 believers and are a part of the CCC Aust Network. Our mission as a local church is to glorify God by helping people become wholehearted followers of Jesus. We are looking for a Worship & Creative Ministries Director to oversee and develop a culture of worship in our church community.

 

POSITION PURPOSE

We are looking for a spiritually mature and passionate Worship & Creative Ministries Director (WCM Director) to lead gospel-centred, Spirit-led worship in our congregation. The WCM Director will possess both musical and leadership proficiency, able to create an atmosphere of reverence and intimacy with God through worship. This role will involve assisting the Senior Pastor in leading worship services, as well as mentoring, training, equipping, and caring for the worship team.

This position is 0.6 FTE to full-time – depending on the successful candidate – with flexible hours, including availability for rehearsals, weekend services, and special events.

 

REMUNERATION

To be discussed based on level of experience and qualification – determined by the BCSANT ‘Pastors Stipend/Allowance Recommendations’.

 

YOU..

  • Have a strong personal relationship with Christ, demonstrated by a consistent life of prayer, Bible study, and service, and a heart for worship and ministry.

  • Have a degree in worship ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred but not required).

  • Are experienced in a worship leadership role, with a proven track record of leading worship services in a church or ministry setting, preferably with diverse teams.

  • Have a strong proficiency in musical skills (vocal and/or instrumental), with the ability to lead with excellence.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with a variety of people.

  • Have proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate others to use their gifts for God’s glory.

  • Are passionate about mentoring and discipling others.

  • Have an ability to work well with various ministry leaders and create a collaborative, positive, and creative worship environment.

  • Are flexible, positive, and solution-oriented.

  • Humble, integral, and have a servant’s heart.

  • Possess the ability to engage people at all stages of spiritual growth.

  • Are able to coordinate with various teams and navigate the unique schedule of CityReach West

  • Are a member of CityReach West or willing to become one.

  • Can provide a satisfactory National Police Check and an active Working with Children Check (WWCC) and have/will undertake the Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training (RAN)
