About Mission Tax & Business Advisory 

Mission Tax & Business Advisory is a vibrant and growing tax and accounting firm providing tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. Alongside our general accounting work, we have a distinctive purpose: supporting Christians in business and helping Christians give tax effectively.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a flexible role. You may work full-time or part-time, from our Maroochydore office, remotely, or through a hybrid arrangement.

What we’re looking for

  • A tax accountant with ideally 5–8 years’ hands-on experience, able to work independently across compliance, client queries, advisory matters and tax planning work prepared for manager review.

  • Broad practical experience with individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and client groups, including an understanding of how different structures affect tax outcomes and client advice.

  • Strong working knowledge of income tax, GST, Division 7A and FBT, with the judgement to identify issues, apply practical solutions and know when to escalate more complex matters.

  • The ability to manage client work from start to finish, including scope, budgets, WIP, deadlines, quality, communication and trusted client relationships.

  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support and train junior team members, improve processes and contribute to a positive team culture as the firm continues to grow.

  • Well-developed communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to adapt your style to different clients, colleagues and situations.

  • A commitment to ongoing technical development and professional learning.
