Are you a Christian Secondary teacher with a passion for teaching with excellence? Moree Christian School is currently seeking applications for a Secondary teacher to join our dedicated staff team in 2026. This position can be Full-Time or Part-Time depending on the applicant and subject areas. Teachers need to be qualified to teach to a Stage 6 level.


We are seeking a teacher with one of the following subject areas:


Humanities / Mathematics / PDHPE / Technology

Moree Christian School is a rural school located in the North-West of New South Wales. We currently have 129 students from Kindergarten to Year 11 and are moving into Year 12 in 2026. You will be warmly welcomed into the Moree Christian School community and be mentored as you teach in a rural environment. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply, being assured you will be supported as you seek accreditation at a Proficient Level.

SELECTION CRITERIA ALL POSITIONS

  • Be a committed Christian and an active member of a Christian Church, with a strong passion for Christian community.

  • Be a team-player and work collegially and effectively with colleagues.

  • Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Participate fully in supporting the Christian Ethos of Moree Christian School, with a willingness to contribute to its academic, pastoral and co-curricular life.

  • Have a strong commitment to own ongoing professional learning and improvement.

  • Have a current Working with Children’s Check.


TEACHERS

  • Be a qualified and have knowledge and understanding of NESA syllabus documents

  • Be an effective practitioner for your stage of development, demonstrating the ability to effectively implement teaching programs in the required fields and cater for student differences.

  • Demonstrate skill and understanding in differentiating the curriculum and making adjustments to cater for a wide range of learning needs and ability levels.

  • Demonstrate competence in the assessment of student learning against the NESA K-10 A-E Performance Standards.

  • Qualified to teach Stage 6

  • Utilise a variety of proactive and reactive management techniques to establish a safe, settled and supportive learning environment where children are nurtured to reach their God-given potential.

  • Work in partnership with staff and parents to ensure that students are well supported academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually, at their stage of development.

  • Demonstrate experience with the use of ICT equipment and systems, to provide meaningful integration of digital.
