Avodah Wellness Centre is a Christian wellness space in Scoresby offering Remedial Massage Therapy, Red Light Therapy, and Prayer in an atmosphere of peace and restoration. Our mission is to see people encounter both physical healing and spiritual renewal, to minister to body, soul, and spirit in the name of Jesus.

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a qualified and Spirit-filled Remedial Massage Therapist who loves God, values excellence, and carries a heart for people. Someone who not only has skilled hands, but a compassionate heart.

This is a role where your professional skills and your faith can work hand-in-hand to bring healing and hope.

As part of the Avodah Wellness team, you’ll provide Remedial and Relaxation Massage treatments in a faith-filled environment. You’ll support clients with muscular and postural issues while being attentive to their spiritual wellbeing. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for the lost and a calling to serve the body of Christ. You see your work as ministry, a space where miracles, healing, and restoration can happen through your care and faith.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional Remedial and Relaxation Massage treatments in line with Australian industry standards.

  • Communicate effectively with clients about their physical and spiritual needs.

  • Manage your own treatment room setup, towels, and basic reception duties (e.g. confirming appointments, handling payments, assisting with bookings, accurate records, and follow up with clients). Training to be provided.

  • Create a peaceful, prayerful atmosphere where clients feel safe, valued, and cared for.

  • Participate in the spiritual life of the centre including prayer, encouragement, and serving together as a team.

  • Offer optional prayer or words of encouragement for clients who request spiritual support.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage or Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy (minimum).

  • Eligible to provide private health fund rebates (qualification must be from an Australian institution).

  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

  • Strong technical and client communication skills.

  • Highest standard of presentation, hygiene, and professionalism.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a heart for exceptional client care.

  • A personal walk with Jesus Christ, committed to prayer, integrity, and compassion in all you do.
