Registrar – Geraldton, WA (Full-time Diocese of North West Australia)

The Anglican Diocese of North West Australia has a big vision – to bring the gospel to the nations. We are seeking a Registrar to lead the team at the Diocesan Office in Geraldton, Western Australia. Reporting to the Bishop and Diocesan Council.

Responsibility

Your primary responsibilities involve leading and overseeing the Diocesan Service Office and act as secretary to Diocesan Council and Trustees.

Working Conditions                                                  

You will be located in Geraldton, the third largest town in Western Australia and is 450 km north of Perth. The Anglican Diocese of North West Australia extends from Dongara to Wyndham, covering 2 million square kms. The Diocesan Office provides financial, facilities, ICT and fundraising services to support gospel workers who provide Bible-based, faithful Christian ministries. This position is permanent and full-time.

Selection Criteria

ESSENTIAL

  1. You must be a firm Christian commitment and actively involved in your church.

  2. Demonstrated high level skills in financial, human and physical resources management.

  3. Demonstrated skills in evangelism, pastoral care and Bible teaching.

  4. Demonstrated communication and inter-personal skills.

  5. Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict resolution.

  6. Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage projects.

  7. At least 5 years’ experience in an equivalent management role. 

DESIRABLE

  1. An ordained clergyman in the Anglican Church of Australia.

  2. Qualified in management or business.

  3. Trained or experienced in legal work, accounting, or Anglican ministry.

  4. Experienced working in a remote area.
