Anglican Aid is the overseas aid, development and ministry support agency of Sydney Anglicans in partnership with the global church. 

We are seeking a Project Officer for our Aid & Development Department to help strengthen churches and transform communities by managing our overseas aid and development projects in partnership with overseas partners.

Reporting to the Aid & Development Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and administering assigned aid and development projects, including project appraisals, international funds transfers, and, when appropriate, overseas travel to partner/project locations. 

 

We are looking for a team member who can: 

  • Administer and manage projects within established procedures 

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payments to overseas partners 

  • Communicate clearly and appropriately with partners 

  • Contribute to process improvement at Anglican Aid 

  • Contribute to donor engagement and communications 

 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a degree in International Development Studies or related field  

AND/OR 

  • Degree/Certification in Project Management  

  • Previous work experience in international development or project management (preferred) 

  • Cross-cultural or international work experience (preferred)  

The successful candidate will be a committed evangelical Christian, able to promote the mission and values of Anglican Aid. You will be willing and able to travel overseas, often to remote areas, including to DFAT Level 3 and 4 locations.  

 

We are seeking a team member with high computer literacy, including proficiency in Office 365 (especially Microsoft Word and Excel) and Salesforce (preferred). You will have a high attention to detail and good time management skills – able to identify and prioritise tasks according to greatest need, able to work both collaboratively and independently as needed, and excellent communication skills.
