Position Title:   Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator

Servants Community Housing is a not-for-profit organisation and registered housing provider that offers safe, affordable housing to some of Melbourne’s most vulnerable, including people experiencing mental illness, trauma, homelessness and domestic violence. About the role

The Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator implements the marketing and fundraising strategy to ensure Servants grows and maintains meaningful relationships with external stakeholders including donors, partners, local community, churches and faith-based organisations, government, trusts and foundations, staff and volunteers. The role ensures all communications remain in-line with Servants’ purpose and strategic goals.

This includes, but is not limited to, marketing, donor relations and fundraising, grant writing, and other work. The role will deliver exceptional, targeted content and relationship management to drive deeper brand awareness and engagement, and ultimately provide greater financial capacity for the work of Servants Community Housing.

Position Objectives

  • Implement communications and engagement strategies that meet Servants’ core objectives and goals as outlined in its strategic plan
  • Drive increased engagement across digital media including electronic direct mail, social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and website
  • Implement donor engagement strategy to increase donor acquisition, retention and growth in financial donations
  • Grow Servants’ income from regular giving programs, seasonal fundraising campaigns and peer 2 peer campaigns
  • Develop collateral as necessary to facilitate marketing and fundraising objectives
  • Provide expertise in customer relationship marketing related matters, including system management and maintenance
  • Develop grant proposals for funding as required, proactively seeking plausible funding opportunities for Servants
  • Produce regular engagement and fundraising reports, including Servants’ annual report
  • Support the co-ordination and promotion of events through relevant communications, advertising and collateral
  • Provide communications support to the CEO, Events Manager and others as required
  • Ensure all communications align with Servants’ mission, vision and objectives

 

Key Selection Criteria

Qualifications and experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in crafting marketing collateral
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, meeting annual financial targets
  • Experience in graphic design, photography, websites preferred
  • High digital literacy, including CRM management, Office Suite, email marketing platform etc
  • Experience in grant writing and developing proposals/reports

Personal qualities

  • Self-motivated, insightful and highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills including ability to prioritise tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and work autonomously
  • Approachable with a positive, cooperative and constructive attitude to work and working with others
  • Highly relational, with ability to develop meaningful donor relationships

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Current driver’s license
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • National Police History check


Occupational Health and Safety

About the position


Location:
Servants office at Waterman Centre Richmond.  Flexibility in working hours and remote working can be negotiated.

Employment status: Part time 4 days, with option for full time subject to negotiation.

Hours: 30.4 – 38 hours per week
