About this Role

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a talented team and drive the creation of engaging radio and other audio content. As the Head of Listener Engagement, you will manage PositiveMedia’s radio stations (89.9 TheLight, TheLight Worship, The Light Mix and the Light Christmas) and other audio products (such as podcasts, listener activations and events) to transform lives in line with PositiveMedia’s mission. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring the structure and delivery of all audio content and products is aligned to the strategic direction of PositiveMedia

  • Facilitating high-quality content that drives listener engagement

  • Providing leadership and coaching to the Listener Engagement team, (which consists of radio announcers, producers and operational support staff) to ensure high performance in on-air and off-air roles

  • Collaborating closely with other departments to facilitate on-air and off-air promotions and activations

  • Playing an active role in the senior leadership team 

About You

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to step into this unique role. To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A deep connection to PositiveMedia’s vison and mission

  • Extensive experience in a leadership role in a community or commercial radio station/s or similar environment

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills

  • A strategic approach
