FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.

The College is seeking a full-time Financial Accountant to support the operations of both our Wantirna South and Narre Warren South campuses, commencing in January 2025. 

In this role your expertise will contribute to smooth financial operations, from managing accounts receivable and payable to processing direct debit payments and staff reimbursements. You’ll also oversee asset registers, balance sheet reconciliations, complete financial analysis including forecasting and contribute to management reporting.  We’re looking for someone who thrives on precision, embraces flexibility, wants to work in a supportive team environment and is eager to contribute to priority projects and best practices.

 

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA qualification will be highly regarded).
  • Have attention to detail and high-quality data entry skills
  • Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
  • Have high level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Are proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
  • Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
