Executive Manager-Finance & Strategy
Korus Connect is a Christian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to serving local communities by helping people connect with their purpose and reach their full potential. Deeply committed to child safety and wellbeing, including the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, Korus Connect is entering a new period of growth and development. The organisation is now seeking a values-led finance leader with a heart to serve as a trusted partner to the CEO.
As Executive Manager-Finance & Strategy, you will take genuine ownership of Korus Connect’s finance, compliance and governance functions. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, lead the Finance Manager and Finance Accountant, and remain accountable for compliance filings and financial sign-off. You will also act as Company Secretary, managing Board and Committee papers, minutes and governance filings, while overseeing regulatory obligations including ACNC, CMA, labour hire, fundraising compliance and insurance. Beyond the numbers, you will work closely with the CEO to help shape Korus Connect’s strategy and vision.
You will also:
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, with tertiary qualifications in commerce or accounting and a strong track record in senior finance leadership within a not-for-profit organisation. You will have led change, improved business processes and built credibility as a trusted adviser.
We are seeking an active Christian leader who brings exemplary financial capability, an outcomes-focused approach, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a servant-hearted commitment to the organisation’s purpose and values. Experience building relationships across churches, donors, not-for-profit organisations or community sectors and experience with, or a strong aptitude to quickly learn company secretarial and Board administration will be highly regarded.
A demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing, including the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, consistent with our obligations under the Victorian Child Safe Standards, is also expected, and experience embedding child safety considerations into governance, risk, or compliance frameworks is highly regarded.
