Director of Business Development

We invite applications for the role of Director of Business Development from qualified and experienced candidates. We are looking for a collaborative leader who can:

  • Be a valuable part of our collaborative Senior Leadership Team and contribute to building a strong organisation culture
  • Drive strategic direction, foster growth and execute well on growth initiatives
  • Analyse the market and identify new business opportunities
  • Build trusted partnerships with church and parachurch partners
  • Enhance infrastructure/property for high-quality services

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Develop and implement long-term growth strategies in our service businesses
  • Manage properties effectively and ensure project feasibility
  • Perform financial modelling and analysis, reduce costs, and increase revenue
  • Conduct due diligence for acquisitions that align with our goals
  • Oversee acquisitions/expansions and integration work
  • Present feasibility, project, financial and operational reports to leaders and the Board
  • Secure funding for expansion/building projects through grants or partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with churches and other Christian partner organisations
  • Oversee property and facilities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Identify and manage business development risks

The ideal applicant will have

  • A bachelor’s degree in real estate or property-related fields (development, valuation, management, research, investment) and/or
  • Proven experience with leadership teams and boards
  • Strong skills in property investment, development, and management
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities with stakeholders
  • Experience working with/overseeing property-related contractors and tradespeople
