About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cook looking expand their experience.

 Youthworks is seeking a Cook for our team at Shoalhaven, situated Watersleigh. This full-time or part-time role offers rostered shifts to service seven day a week operations. Your key role will be contributing to our guests satisfaction, through preparing meal items to required specifications and standards. As well as, but not limited to, helping keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently whilst ensuring proper food handling, sanitation and food storage procedures are followed.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients / food for cooking and service in a timely manner

  • Ensure that food is prepared and delivered to service point(s) in a timely manner

  • Ensure that all food, stock items and additional items are stored correctly and safely

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

You will need to demonstrate

  • Experience cooking for large groups

  • A passion for cooking

  • Ability and availability to cover shifts Monday to Sunday to assist with seven-days-per-week operations

  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail

  • A strong work ethos and the ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes

  • A willingness to work within an overtly Christian environment and with an Anglican organisation

What we would really like you to have

  • A personal Christian faith

  • Catering or cooking qualifications

Additional information

Current drivers licence and own transport are essential.
