Role Overview

We are seeking committed chefs/cooks to join our catering teams in Lennox Head, the Sommerset Region and on the Gold Coast.  Reporting to our Catering Manager, you will be responsible for working with our food service team at each of our locations as they provide a calm and rewarding experience through varied, visually appealing and healthy meals at a reasonable cost in a clean and pleasant environment.

  • Communicate with management and staff
  • Ensure safe work practices
  • Work as part of the broader team
  • Risk assessment and control measures
  • Record keeping
  • Stock control and handling
  • Awareness of and response to guest dietary needs
  • Contributing to a cohesive team environment
  • Prepare, cook and serve meals
  • Quality control
  • Implementation of cleaning schedules and processes
  • Contribution to and participation in, the wider ministry of CYC

What We’re Looking For

  • Outstanding Christian character with a mature faith and a passion for sharing the Gospel with children. An active involvement with a local church would usually be demonstrated
  • Competent and committed chef or cook
  • Current Blue Card (working with Children)
  • Current Manual Driver’s License
