Christian Brethren Community Services (CBCS) is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in the provision of accommodation and care in residential care and retirement living.  Established in 1976 by a group of people from NSW Christian Brethren churches (also known as the ‘Open Brethren’), the organisation today comprises three co-located retirement villages and residential care facilities in Cherrybrook, Glenhaven and Newcastle.

The CEO’s role is the development of strategies, policies and procedures that will facilitate operational excellence of CBCS’ existing and future services. The successful applicant will be an accomplished leader demonstrating exceptional people skills and strong personal alignment with the mission and values of CBCS. They will report to the CBCS Board of Directors and will have:                                 

  • Relevant experience / qualifications in Business, Management, Health Service Administration or similar.
  • Extensive experience in at least a Senior Executive role preferably within a medium sized not-for-profit aged care / community services environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance, governance and risk management, preferably within an aged care environment.
  • Compliance with the requirements for Key Personnel under the Aged Care Act and the suitability requirements defined in the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act.
