Volunteer Board Director Opportunities

Providential Homes is seeking experienced, passionate and community-focused individuals to join our voluntary Board of Directors.

As a Christian not-for-profit organisation, Providential Homes is committed to providing safe, supportive and affordable housing solutions that empower individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity, hope and purpose. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for dedicated Board Directors to help guide the organisation’s strategic future.

About the Role

Board Directors play a vital role in providing strategic leadership, governance and oversight to ensure Providential Homes remains financially sustainable, well-governed and focused on achieving its mission.

Working collaboratively with fellow Directors and the Executive team, you will help shape the future direction of the organisation while ensuring strong governance, accountability and responsible stewardship of resources.

We are seeking Directors with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Governance and Board Leadership

  • Finance, Accounting or Audit

  • Legal, Compliance and Risk Management

  • Property Development, Construction or Housing

  • Community Housing or Social Housing

  • Human Resources

  • Strategic Planning and Business Development

  • Fundraising, Philanthropy and Partnerships

  • Government Relations and Public Policy

  • Marketing and Communications

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are committed to ethical leadership and good governance.

  • Support the Christian mission and values of Providential Homes.

  • Bring strategic thinking and sound decision-making skills.

  • Have a passion for addressing housing insecurity and strengthening communities.

  • Can contribute professional expertise while working collaboratively.

  • Are committed to attending Board meetings and participating in Board committees where appropriate.

Previous Board experience is highly regarded but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced directors as well as emerging leaders who are committed to making a positive social impact.
