SU Australia in the Northern Territory

In the Northern Territory, we are seeking to appoint a full-time Area Manager to be the face of SU for the NT.  You will work closely with the Regional Director (based in Townsville) to strengthen our existing mission activities and explore new opportunities too.  Visiting churches and other supporters, you will nurture key stakeholder relationships and networks to build our engagement with the community.  Your leadership skills will be at the forefront as you recruit, train and pastorally care for our ministry workers, including our Chaplains and RI volunteers.

This role is based in Darwin and may also require some travel to other parts of the NT. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A mature personal faith and values consistent with SU’s ethos and theology
  • A strong background in ministry and mission, preferably with children and young people
  • A minimum of three years’ experience leading a team, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
  • Experience or familiarity with school chaplaincy and/or RI
  • A successful track record in building and maintaining networks and an ability to represent our organisation effectively in external settings.
