Accountant Part-Time On-site

Every Home for Christ Australia (EHC) partners with local churches in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region to provide humanitarian aid. Behind that work is a responsibility to steward supporters’ donations nationally and New Zealand.

Reporting to the National Ministry Director (CEO), you bring strong financial skills in Xero, budgeting, and financial reporting including audit, governance, payroll and procurement processes. Your remit also includes finance oversight of a few controlled entities in Asia.

We are looking for an experienced accountant or highly skilled bookkeeper to work 2 days for per week at our office in Penshurst, Sydney.

What you’ll bring

  • Substantial senior finance experience

  • A commerce, finance or business degree and a CA or CPA qualification.

  • Strong experience in financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, external audit and financial controls.

  • Sound judgement and the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to the CEO.

  • A practical approach to improving systems and processes.

  • An ability to work in a way that reflects EHC’s mission and values.

Experience in the not-for-profit sector (charities) in a Christian environment is essential.
