Session 1: HR on the Horizon: Changes to workplace laws, managing staff in challenging times, and what to expect next presented by Natasha Sim, Senior Associate, Russell Kennedy Lawyers
The past 12 months have been eventful for employers – in addition to significant changes to federal workplace laws passed late in 2022, employers have had to contend with economic uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, recent high profile cases have reignited the debate about religious freedoms in the workplace.
In this session, Natasha Sim, Senior Associate, will provide an overview of key legal obligations relevant to Christian organisations regarding:
- Recent key changes to workplace laws, and how to comply with them
- Restructuring and redundancies
- Complying with anti-discrimination laws when hiring and firing staff
Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions before and during the seminar.
Session 2: Fundraisers: stewards of love (presentation and Q&A) presented by June Steward from June's Fundraising Letter
This session will provide an introduction to philanthropic psychology and how it will help your charity raise more money. Discover the basics of this research-based fundraising practice. Using real-life examples, you’ll discover how to use donor identity and psychology principles to not only boost fundraising income but increase the wellbeing of donors. |
