Let's Talk About: What keeps the chair awake at night? (Option 2)

CMA's 'Let's Talk About ...' online meetings are a Chatham-House rules, mics on / cameras on meeting. There is no 'expert presentation', although we may invite a couple of seasoned practitioners to share a story or two, however the main purpose is to glean from each other, highlight the issues, and have a conversation.

Board Chairs have complex roles, and this discussion will give everyone the chance to hear what issues are top of mind for church / school / ministry chairs, as well as, perhaps, what measures they may be taking by way of preparation. CMA is also continually alert to topics which might be assisted by specialist resources, papers or presentations, so it's also an opportunity for CMA to learn more deeply the needs of our members.

We don't expect to come to any definitive conclusions during our hour together, but good conversations are often stimulating, and give us something to consider as we navigate our own situations.

NOTE: We recognise that in conversations like this, Chairs may feel restricted in speaking openly if staff are in the room – and vice-versa! On this occasion we have decided against restricting participation to chairs only, however we will be circulating a list of everyone attending, shortly before the meeting, so that everyone knows who will be in the room to hear whatever they may be inclined to share. For this reason, registration will close 12 hours ahead of the meeting.
