The Organisation:

GLNA is a not-for-profit ministry that exists to inspire and equip world-class leadership that ignites transformation. Our annual conference The Global Leadership Summit has been held in Australia via videocast since 2005 and has grown to impact over 6,000 participants each year through GLS Online, GLS Local and GLS Next Gen.

Our growing team includes full-time and part-time staff located in various cities across Australia.

This position would ideally be located in South East QLD, to facilitate regular in-person collaboration with our Executive Director (Logan) and Administrator (Gold Coast).

The Role:

To provide digital design and communications expertise to Global Leadership Network Australia and enable best practice communication with Australian constituents and global connections by:

1. Implementation of Marketing & Communications strategy
Including all design and updates for GLNA website, digital media, social media, email campaigns, video and print collateral.

2. Innovation and Pursuing Best Practices
Identify new opportunities, emerging trends and commit to continuous improvement.

3. Analysis and Reporting
Regularly report on marketing effectiveness using available engagement and outcome metrics. Report to CEO and ED regarding trends and results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website Design/Maintenance.
  • Design new web pages as needed.
  • Update existing pages as changes occur (eg new host sites, dates, pricing).
  • Periodically refresh website with current look/feel.
2. Email
  • Design/execute our monthly email newsletter sent to our national database.
  • Design/execute ad-hoc email campaigns throughout the year.
  • Provide guidance with best practice to maximise subscriber engagement.
3. Print Design
  • Design promotional items inc flyers, banners, posters etc.
4. Digital Design
  • Design graphics for promoting our events.
  • Logo design.
  • Design look/feel for special events.
  • Design slides for use on projector screens at live events.
  • Design/modify GLS digital notebook.
5. Social Media
  • Develop social media strategy for promoting GLNA
  • Maintain strong presence across social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other emerging platforms).
  • Oversee and provide direction with sponsored posts to ensure best value for money
6. Video
  • Assist in basic design and modifications of promotional and other videos as needed.
  • Engage and oversee specific video projects with professional contractors (eg videographers).
  • Manage our YouTube channel
7. Branding/Communications
  • Provide guidance to the overall branding and year-round communications strategy of GLNA.
  • Commit to continuous improvement by analysing the engagement and overall effectiveness of campaigns throughout the year.

Co-ordination of Marketing & Communications Strategy

1. Development of strategy in collaboration with ED and other staff

2. Consistent measurement of analytics to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives/campaigns

The Digital Design and Communication officer will demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in digital media and high-level communications
  • A demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a pro-active manner within a team environment with understanding, efficiency, effectiveness, participation, responsiveness and accountability.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook) , databases and mail chimp etc
  • High level organisational & communication skills
  • Be able to develop strategic systems and procedures with aim of continually improving
  • Experience in use of computerised software
  • Excellent time management skills

The Digital Design and Communication officer will demonstrate the following personal characteristics:
