AIRS is a non-profit that serves the Anglican Community by supporting members to make informed and intentional vision focused risk decisions and also to provide a quality national insurance program.

About the Role:

We have a great opportunity to join our small team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will provide admin support to our church, care and school members. It is a diverse role which you will find to be impactful and interesting. You do not need to be Anglican, but to be effective you will need to connect with the AIRS vision. We are not looking for someone with a particular work background, just someone who is highly capable!

Most work will be from home, and then 1-2 days per week in our city-based office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide general member support including managing member portal
  2. Administer our Risk Services Program, in particular our online 'Love my Church' program launching 2022
  3. Provide support for the Senior Insurance and claims staff
  4. Assist with the development of new resources and content
  5. Provide general admin support to the operation

About you:

  • Super organised and can prioritise work;
  • Good communicator both verbal and written;
  • Good with technology, including Microsoft applications such as Office 365;
  • Adaptable, highly teachable and can pick things up quickly;
  • Ability to work autonomously and take personal responsibility for work;
  • Willingness and ability to learn new things and undertake professional development;
  • Flexible to work in a hybrid environment mixing home/office.

An advantage but not essential:

  • Understanding of either of a church, care or schools administration environment;
  • Experience in an insurance environment such as broker or associated role
  • Experience in risk management or administration, especially property or safeguarding
