OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As part of SIM's Relationship Department, you will provide day-to-day support and communication with partners who support SIM's mission workers and ministry projects through answering donor and ministry enquiries, donation processing, data entry and other administration tasks. The role supports interaction with SIM's partners primarily via email or phone.

The Partner Relations Assistant's role is a part-time position, and the successful applicant will be based out of the SIM Australia's Sydney office in Penshurst.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The successful candidate will have:

  • A heart to follow Jesus and actively participate in a church community.
  • Customer service experience, communicating professionally and confidently on the phone, through email and in other forms of communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and autonomously as required.
  • Ability to multi-task, exercise flexibility and be capable of learning on the job. A level of in-house training will be provided for the role.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Data entry experience (with ThankQ or similar non-profit database or CRM tools) - to assist with data entry to support SIM's donors and gift acknowledgement and receipting.
  • Experience with the processing of donations or similar transactions.
  • Previous clerical experience.
