About the role

This role shares some of the core People & Culture functions such as recruitment, policy, advisory services, training, engagement, remuneration and compliance, and has its own portfolio areas such as;

  • Leads and supports the maintenance and ongoing improvement of high quality safeguarding, due diligence, work health safety and compliance systems
  • Leads and supports Tearfund's Learning Management System, module creation, implementation and related training.
  • Manages various projects, policies and guidelines.

Is this you? To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to demonstrate your understanding of Tearfund's ethos and values and to integrate these with legislative and good people practices
  • Relevant qualifications and experience i.e. direct or transferrable knowledge and experience around safeguarding, compliance standards and/or work health safety
  • The ability to give examples of accuracy, and strong administrative skills, and your familiarity with hands on operational tasks in the People & Culture operational space
  • Agility in working with various online platforms and systems, and you are proficient in tools like Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Suite (i.e. Forms, Sheets, Docs and other collaboration tools)
  • Advanced work scheduling skills whilst still being able adjust to frequent changes in work priorities. You will be someone who loves variety - working across numbers of different tasks in a day
  • An ability to join the big picture and 'spirit of the law' with detailed requirements, enabling you to simplify and streamline systems and communicate these effectively to others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with report or policy writing experience
  • Highly regarded: Experience with an international relief & development agency or Christian organisation/ministry
