About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and including both a local and national scope, you will play a pivotal role in the SUA national finance team and be responsible for processing of accounts payable and receivable, including communications with creditors, donations processing and cash book processes. Your duties in your new role will include but not limited to:

  • Banking and Bank reconciliations
  • Processing of Accounts Payable invoices
  • Accounts receivable
  • Donations processing
  • CRM database updates

This full-time role is for an initial 12 month contract period. The role can be located in the following cities within the SUA South Zone (Hobart, Melbourne or Adelaide). Working from home is an option, combined with regular attendance at the office. Your success will be ensured by your technical competency, outstanding communication skills, generalist finance knowledge, time management, willingness to learn and attention to detail.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Accounting or Business
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, with a desire to learn new skills
  • Bookkeeping and financial accounting skills
  • Familiarity with the use of both accounting and CRM software.
  • Demonstrated communication and time management skills are essential.

Southern Community Church of Christ in Cheltenham, Victoria is currently actively seeking how to best serve its community and communicate faith, in a rapidly changing and COVID-impacted world, as the church seeks to move forward with its vision and mission.

We are seeking expressions of interest for a new role that is being created, for an office manager. This will be a full time 1.0 role, Monday to Friday, in a busy office space. We are seeking someone who has good people, administrative and organisational skills, with some bookkeeping and financial knowledge, and good IT skills.
