We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced fundraising manager with a passion for mission to join our Macquarie Park Sydney team and be part of our vision.

We work with local teams in Africa to support their mission and development activities through engaging and building our supporter base in Australia, NZ and Hong Kong.

More about the role

The work of African Enterprise has a special place in the heart of thousands of supporters within Australasia, and this role is to work with our small dedicated and effective team to manage our fundraising initiatives and build our supporter base to reach new cities of Africa every year. It requires an experienced hands on fundraising manager, whose passion for the Great Commission overflows into serving God in this unique and very special role. We believe in our work and that this role is for someone called into a para-church ministry role, who is capable of implementing the right strategies to continue to grow our support. You will be joining at an exciting time of growth and possibility to build and grow this ministry.

Other key responsibilities include

  • Managing the development and delivery of monthly fundraising initiatives to achieve donation generating and supporter engagement initiatives
  • Developing and delivering tactical plans to building our ambassador program, acquire new supporters, build relationships with churches and our partners to increase regular donations
  • Helping to build team spirit, encouragement and support as we seek scalable solutions to work smarter and keep our administrative costs low
  • Contributing fundraising experience to operational strategy, acting as a reference point on best practice for community engagement and corporate partnerships
  • Budget management including maintaining expenditure and achieving goals within the parameters of a set budget
  • Actively monitor campaign progress ensuring the optimisation of strategies.
  • Providing leadership support to the CEO in managing strategy, particular whilst the CEO is on mission in Africa or on ministry tour initiatives

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and/or significant (5+ years) successful on the job experience in relevant positions
  • Demonstrated experience in working with competitive revenue targets and reporting
  • High level organisational skills and ability to work under pressure managing several task with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of developments, innovation and initiative emerging in the funding industry
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising legislations, practices and the philosophy of charitable giving
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values of African Enterprise Limited Australia

Based in Macquarie Park Sydney, this role is full time.
