CityLife is currently seeking an experienced Business Manager to join our leadership team.

The Business Manager is a management and operational leadership role within the Senior Leadership Team at CityLife Church. The role focuses on financial, risk and business aspects of the organisation's activities.

The Business Manager provides leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the church has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively serve our growing congregations across Melbourne and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

As an active member of the Senior Leadership Team the Business Manager is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the operations of Administration, Accounting and Finance, Building Facilities, and Information Systems.
  • Administrative leadership and planning
  • Lead, guide and develop the Central Service Team
  • Financial Management
  • Risk Management

About you

As a committed and dedicated professional you will have at least 5 years' experience in a senior management role. You will have strong operational, leadership and management experience and have managed operation / administrative functions previously.

With an appropriate tertiary qualification and experience (a CPA or CA is desirable but not essential) you will have knowledge of financial, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles. You will also have knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ideally knowledge in relation to regulatory frameworks applicable to a church or NFP environment is desirable but not essential.

Your advanced skills in written and verbal communication (including reporting) will be well utilised. You will be able to demonstrate your proactive problem-solving skills and improve processes by identifying innovative and best practice solutions. You will also have experience in strategic, analytical and financial planning.
