Global Interaction exists to empower communities to develop their own distinctive ways of following Jesus. We are an international, intercultural mission organisation of the Australian Baptist movement in which we actively send out Intercultural workers around the world; to live among communities, to build relationships and share the Good news of Jesus.

We are currently seeking to appoint an Database Coordinator to be based in our National office in Hawthorn. This is a 2 year term role with the possibility of an extension on the completion of the 2nd year, the role is part time, 3-days per week with some flexibility available for the suitable candidate with regard to which days are to be worked.

The requirements of the role are to provide database support across the relevant teams within the organisation. Your organisation skills, service-orientated approach and attention to detail will be vital to this role. Excellent communication skills along with a strong understanding of IT systems, and a passion for system integration, improvements, and efficiencies will ensure your continuing success within the role.

Also experience with our database Raiser's Edge is extremely favourable.

Defined duties

  • Manage and control databases and internal systems
  • Run reports from Raiser's Edge as necessary.
  • Assist with a review of current systems and the implementation of any new systems
  • Liaise with IT developers and assist with new developments
  • Maintain office integration of systems, both new and existing
  • Support internal employees and provide onsite contact for IT needs, including set-up and initial troubleshooting
  • Maintaining key relationships with external IT providers

Key Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary business management and/or Information Systems qualifications
  • Minimum of three to five years' experience within an information systems department of an organisation of significant size and complexity
  • An ability to manage multiple projects
  • Well organised with an ability to deliver to deadlines as required
  • Experience in supporting a business systems transformation project is (preferable)
  • Ability to communicate well and support people from a non-IT background
  • A strong team player with alignment to our vision, mission, and value
  • Experience with CRM/Database: preferably RE & FE, but experience with Thank Q, Salesforce, Donman, Microsoft Dynamic, Other Blackbaud products will be considered
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate
  • Experience with integrating online donation forms, payment gateways with the CRM
  • Ideal: setup and maintain: Crystal Report
  • Troubleshoot: CRM gift processing, system errors, online form errors
  • Support finance team in understanding database financial information
  • Mailing Data files, appeal segmentations, reporting and Dashboard set ups
