State Advisory Council member

Expression of Interest

Since 1981, Prison Fellowship Australia (PFA) has been sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with prisoners and their families. Our programs and services extend nationally, both inside and outside prison walls, through the faithful ministry of over 1100 volunteers. PFA is a member of Prison Fellowship International, enjoys a positive working relationship with all Corrective Service Departments throughout Australia, and is a registered charity organisation with the ACNC.

PFA is governed by a National Board and with a State Manager in each State. The State Advisory Council assists the State Manager in implementing the National Strategic Plan and provides a sounding board for the ministry at the local level. The Chair of each State Advisory Council is a director on the National Board.

In NSW the ministry is facilitated with the assistance of the NSW/ACT State Advisory Council. The Council is looking to appoint additional members who will contribute in assisting the ministry achieve its strategic objectives by offering a diversity of perspectives, experiences, expertise and interests. We welcome applications from men and women in New South Wales and the ACT to join the Council and are particularly interested in hearing from people who have aboriginal heritage.
