Lead Pastor job ad

Creekside Community Church warmly invite applications and expressions of interest for the position as Lead Pastor. We believe that God has graciously and uniquely positioned us at a significant juncture in our church community. It is our desire to seek the appropriate person who is called to ministry, to joyfully fulfil their assignment with Creekside Community Church. We continue to ask for God’s grace, wisdom and discernment and trust that the suitable applicant will similarly be prayerfully considering this role, drawing upon the Holy Spirit’s leading and enabling in this decision.

We recognise that our next pastor will have a variety of gifts. We also acknowledge that our own vision is limited, and that God can re-arrange some of the priorities outlined below. However, what is most important is that our pastor loves the Lord, and regularly desires to know and experience Him in deeper and richer ways. As our pastor demonstrates this leadership, our desire is that the body of believers will also grow in their love for Jesus. Outlined below are key characteristics and responsibilities associated with this position.

Creekside Community Church meet at the junction of Morayfield, Narangba and Burpengary on the outskirts of northern Brisbane. The church was established in 2004 as a pioneering church plant from Mueller Community Church in Rothwell. Creekside enjoys an association with the Christian Community Churches of Australia, a national network of like-minded churches.

We have witnessed God’s continuing and gracious provision in the establishment of Carmichael campus, located within an emerging growth corridor with a significant young family demographic. As an original part of the Creekside vision, recent growth now sees over 500 primary and middle school students attending this thriving Christian school with further growth expected as the high school rollout continues. Also located on site is Carmichael Kids (kindergarten and childcare), church auditorium and office, Interseed Ltd (NFP support body) and Creekside CafĂ©.

As a campus, we recognise our unique community positioning and the immense potential that God has laid out before us. With such a significant link to the community, we desire to be people helping people discover Jesus and follow him fearlessly. We have been blessed with many opportunities to host Alpha courses and as a result, have joyfully witnessed many people discovering Jesus for the first time. As we recall the many ways in which God has blessed us already, we are in eager expectation as we step into this next phase of campus vision with His enabling, grace and provision.

We would encourage all applicants to review the Position Description below. Upon enquiry, we would be glad to provide further information including our Creekside Handbook and organisational chart. We would be pleased to be in contact with you to discuss the next steps. We anticipate moving forward with God’s enabling and appointing a Lead Pastor to serve in this important role.
