CMA has a two-stage history.
Founding
When Christian Management Australia first began in 2001, it was partially seeded by one-off gifts of $1000 or more from 'Founding Members'. The founding period was officially closed on 30 June 2010, and it is fair to say that CMA would not exist without the vision and support of those initial Founding Members. We wish to continue to acknowledge their initial support of our vision, and you can view the Founding Members list here.
Sustaining
Stage two began in 2012, when CMA departed from the Evangelical Alliance family, and formed a new charity, Christian Ministry Advancement Ltd. This time, CMA is already founded! We have the basics in place, we have staff (just 2 full-time-equivalents), and people know who we are. But we are still a fairly small organisation, without substantial funding, and with a vision much bigger than our small resources.
So we have formed a new 'Founders' Network', to replace the now closed Founding Members from our earlier days. Our Founders' Network is the group of people and organisations who sustain the work of CMA now and into the future, by making a contribution of $1000 or more in any given 12-month period.
Each year, commencing in 2013, we will be holding a briefing in major centres for our Founders' Network, with updates from CMA about our vision, and our plans for achieving that vision. Our Founders' Network represents those who we consider to be moral owners of this new CMA - those who invest in our mission, who share our passion, and whose input we seek as we grow. |
