Over the years at CMA, we've had plenty of conversations and heard plenty of stories about the troubles that arise when the relationship between the board and the CEO / Senior Pastor / Principal is something other than 'friendly'. Like everything, it takes two to tango, but if the CEO starts from a posture that is board-friendly, rather than hostile or resentful or defensive, then the chances of a healthy relationship, and an effective organisation, increase markedly. Board members and CEOs are both welcome to participate in this online conversation.

As with our other 'Let's Talk About' conversations, we're not trying to present the final word on the topic - there actually isn't a 'presenter'! But we'll invite a few of our seasoned members to say a few words, and open up this member-only discussion and explore some of the ideas behind being, or working with, a board-friendly CEO.
