  • Adelaide - March 1

CMA has seized an opportunity to jump on the road with the visit to Australia of Dr Gary Hoag. Gary is President and CEO of Global Trust Partners, and author of 'The Sower' - one of the most respected and revolutionary books on the unique distinctives of Christian fundraising.

A small committee from QLD and VIC has been working for a few months now, to develop the 'CMA Fundraising Network' as an ongoing forum where Christian fundraisers can network, pray for each other, compare notes, learn from each other, and get inspired about the ministry of fundraising, not just the techniques. So - what better opportunity than while we are already on the road with Gary Hoag for 'The CMA Standards Council Annual Address' (see below) to get our Christian fundraising colleagues together and launch this exciting new network!

Please join us for one hour of input and discussion, plus morning tea if you have time for extra networking. During the hour, Gary will bring some biblical insight that speaks straight to ministry fundraising, and facilitate some discussion in small groups. He will also highlight a couple of simple tools / templates that ministries around the world are using to assist with concisely communicating, in a spiritual context, the needs, opportunities and call to action that givers are being invited to respond to.

Finally, Global Trust Partners is running a new online course "When Money Goes on Mission", based on the book of the same title by Rob Martin. (The book will be for sale at these functions). Gary has agreed to run a special cohort of this course just for Australian fundraisers - in our timezone - and although much of the course is on-demand for self service, a couple of components are live presentations, at which Gary Hoag and the author Rob Martin will be available to engage with the Australian participants. By attending the Fundraising Network Launch, you'll be the first to be able to sign up for this Australian version of 'When Money Goes on Mission' - for no charge! Register now to join Adelaide fundraisers on March 1st!

The Morning Program - in case you (or a colleague) are interested in what else is happening in Adelaide:

  • 8.30 - 9.30 - CMA Standards Council Annual Address with Steve Kerr, Gary Hoag and Gary Williams. For those interested in ministry governance and accountability. Separate information and registration here
  • 9.30 - 10.30 - Morning tea
  • 10.30 - 11.30 - Ministry Fundraising Network Launch with Gary Hoag - register here.

So there are two different events - one for board members / governance people, and one for fundraisers. Morning tea is included with either registration, and each event is $10 for CMA members or $20 for non-members. Register for one or both depending on what your role / interest is – and tell your Board Member friends about the CMA Standards Council Annual Address!
