Are you a seasoned HR leader with a passion for service excellence and a strategic mindset? Anglicare is looking for a Head of People Services to lead our HR and payroll operations, delivering high-quality, efficient support to over 5500 staff across NSW. This key role will shape the direction of Shared Services, driving compliance, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with senior leaders to align HR services with our strategic goals.
  • Lead and optimise the delivery of HR and payroll operations (4 direct reports, 30 indirect reports) increasing efficiency, effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Establish a People Service Desk to streamline and elevate employee support.
  • Drive compliance with policies and regulations and manage HR risk.
  • Foster a workplace culture in line with Anglicare’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

 

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR management or a similar role in organisations of similar scale and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR & Payroll best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a talent for strategic planning and communication.
  • Proficiency in Chris21, Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Desirable).
