Due to an internal move, we’re seeking a strong communicator, with proven leadership, to join our team as soon as possible and steer our financial operations to new heights!

About MAF Australia: MAF aircraft fly over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts in over 30 countries to bring thousands of people medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope. We reach the most remote corners of the globe, making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

Your Mission: As Head of Finance and Control, you will provide professional, knowledgeable financial and fiscal management to MAF Australia entities; report financial information to management, the Board, regulatory bodies, donors/sponsors and mission staff in a timely manner; and perform the duties of Board Secretariat.

You will report to the CEO and be the financial maestro, orchestrating financial strategies that fuel our endeavours to bring help, hope and healing through aviation. You’ll focus on:

  • Management and Team Building (including, at times, deputising for the CEO)
  • Stewardship and Compliance duties
  • Financial Analysis
  • Accounting Activities and Budgeting
  • Transparency and Reporting

Your Profile:

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be a certified Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant
  • Possess proven experience in a leadership role, overseeing financial and administrative operations at a senior level and the ability to operate with little supervision
  • Be proficient in MYOB or similar financial packages, Excel and office packages, and Salesforce or similar CRM packages
  • Have the ability to travel interstate / overseas to Board meetings as required
  • Demonstrated alignment with the organisational values, purpose, vision, statement of beliefs and objectives

The ability to speak at church events and business functions this is an extra bonus!
