The ACNC's new External Conduct Standards, now in operation, require careful consideration by local churches who send money or people overseas. There is still some confusion in the church sector about how these External Conduct Standards apply, and sometimes just routing your giving through a missions agency isn't the whole story.

At this 75-minute session, you'll get the context, the legal specifics, and some concrete explanation from a ministry who is across the standards. Alex Milner, Partner from Prolegis Lawyers, will bring a remote presentation by Zoom, then local Paul Madden, recently retired Chief Executive of the Wyatt Trust, and Executive Officer of Bright Futures Child Aid and Development Fund Australia, will give some practical insights from in-the-trenches. There will be time for questions with both presenters, and you'll come away with a clearer understanding of why Charities, including churches, need to understand these new standards, and how to ensure you're doing what you need to meet your obligations.

A light lunch is included from 12.00, with the presentations to begin at 12.30
