Status: Full time
Name: Recruitment Manager

Train and equip the next generation of gospel workers in biblical teaching and see children reached with the good news of Jesus every day.

The Ministry Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the ministry training aspects of the Summit Program, most significantly the delivery and assessment of the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology. This role in training and equipping the next generation of gospel workers, as well as overseeing on-camp Christian Discovery sessions and other spiritual inputs for staff, is vital in supporting CRU's mission of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus.

The Ministry Manager will work within the CRU Educational Camps team, the division within CRU that runs fully programmed camps for school groups during term times, and will primarily be responsible for overseeing biblical teaching, both on camps and as part of the Summit Program, which includes the accredited ministry training. They will also provide mentoring and guidance to other staff as they write and deliver Bible talks, facilitate discussion groups and answer campers' questions about God. The role is well suited for someone who is theologically trained, a great communicator, people-orientated, and passionate about seeing children reached with the good news of Jesus.

We are keen to consider applications with:

  • A mature and consistent Christian faith with active involvement in a Christian church with sound biblical teaching (as evidence of commitment to Christian ministry and service);
  • A full agreement with CRU's 'Basis of Belief';
  • A commitment to and belief in the value of camping for providing a positive environment for evangelism, and a willingness to be involved in such programs;
  • Qualifications in a relevant field such as Theology, Divinity or Christian Ministry;
  • Experience and proven ability in the creation and delivery of biblical teaching material (e.g. sermons or training seminars);
  • Ability to teach the Bible to children and apply the Bible to non-churched audiences;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including computer literacy and a strong eye for detail;
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, particularly leadership/mentoring of adults;
  • A current driver's licence;
  • A NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
