The Position Purpose:
To provide video editing support to Bridge Church, for both regular video features and special occasion features.

The Key accountabilities for the role are:-

  • Vision Development
    • This role will help guide and direct the media elements of Bridge Church in the present and future.
    • To help set a platform for people to encounter the presence of God.
    • To lead, build and train a team of passionate volunteers who want to serve God through creative presentation.
  • Role Model & Management
    • Creative planning, storyboarding and script writing for videos with media team.
    • Being flexible in working with the Creative brief given for each job.
    • Working collaboratively with the Communications team to develop on trend branding for event videos, motions and collateral which accurately reflects the vision, theology and culture of Bridge Church.
    • Ability to work in an effective and timely manner.
    • Ability to create motions for items and/or worship.
    • Editing, animation, titles (in collaboration with graphic design).
    • Colouring, audio mastering, rendering.
    • Transferring multiple exports for various services and campuses.
    • Purchase and maintenance of equipment in accordance with budget.
    • Ensuring all equipment whereabouts is documented and controlled.
    • Management of media filing systems.
  • Training & Development
    • Raise up and train volunteers in accordance with their demonstrated interests, talents and gifting. This includes a level of pastoral care, team building and running masterclasses. 

Job Requirements:

  • Adobe After effects (essential)
  • Adobe Premier (bonus)
  • Adobe Photoshop (essential)
  • Colour Grading (bonus)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (essential)
  • Degree in film or similar (bonus)
  • Demonstrated creative interpretation and fresh ideas specific to ad campaigns, church DNA (e.g. communicating the vision of the church, church values and culture) and any other assignments as assigned.
  • Knowledge of relevant Video Editing programs, and ability to recommend any upgrades (Commitment to research and development in the video editing world)
  • Highly developed Camera Skills
  • Proven ability to work to and manage time lines

Ability to share knowledge or setup systems that are conductive to casual volunteers or interns picking up on video editing of filming skills

Other Positional Considerations

  • Self - management to ensure appropriate balance between availability outside normal working hours, where required by circumstances and commitment to maintaining regularly scheduled and protected personal/family time.
