Job Description:


Alphacrucis College is a leader in Christian higher and vocational education in Australia. We are currently seeking a VET in Schools Coordinator to join our VET Team, at the Parramatta Campus. Working as part of this Christian organisation, Alphacrucis College personnel participate in staff and student events, such as Chapel, and have opportunity to serve in the broader Alphacrucis College community.

The VET in Schools Coordinator will provide leadership and management of the AC VET in Schools Program with the following responsibilities:

·       Providing leadership and oversight of AC VET in Schools Program; and generally overseeing the delivery of these awards in schools in consultation with relevant Program Directors;

·       Building and maintaining strong positive relationships with schools;

·       Ensuring course offerings and resources in the relevant programs such as online content, assessments, calendars, timetables are available for schools in consultation with Program Directors;

·       Assisting with the development, improvement and preparation for accreditation and re-accreditation of the awards, ensuring continued compliance with relevant government standards;

·       As required assist with course development, training, tutoring and assessing in consultation with Program Directors;

·       In consultation with the marketing department and other relevant departments, focus on the expansion of AC VET in schools; and implement strategies to ensure this growth occurs;

·       To monitor student progress and retention issues in communication with relevant Program Directors, and report and advise on these to the Vocational Education Student Affairs Committee;

·       Representing the college to the school community and general public as directed by line management;

·       Participating in the various organisational committees as required.

Job Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

·       Proven exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;

·       Experience working with VET in schools including with BOSTES/NESA;

·       Understanding of VET systems and processes;

·       Completion of the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;

·       Completion of, or willing to complete, a vocational qualification related to Ministry and/or Leadership, or otherwise as directed by the Director of VET;

·       Current leadership experience;

·       Understanding of and experience in the mission of vocational and higher education in schools;

·       Successful experience in academic administration;

·       Commitment to an active Christian faith that informs one’s professional and personal choices and commitments.
