About Scripture Union Queensland

Scripture Union Queensland is a Christian not-for-profit with a heart for youth and children. We are the largest provider of school chaplains in Australia, and each chaplain is uniquely placed to support our children and young people as they navigate life’s increasingly complex issues. We run camps, community outreach events and At-Risk Youth programs, and offer nationally recognised training in youth work.


About the role

The Vocational Trainer works within the Training team as a trainer and assessor in the area of Youth Work. They are responsible for a group of course participants through the duration of their enrolment within the Registered Training Organisation (RTO 30548). Responsibilities include but not limited to; delivering training, supporting students, marking and fulfilling the administrative responsibilities.


This is a part time position working 2 days per week.


The ideal candidate will have

  • TAE40110 (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and/or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education
  • Qualification/s in Youth Work or Community Services combined with recent industry experience
  • Previous experience within an RTO environment, ideally including experience with online learning environments
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded
