Who we are looking for? Gifts in Wills Specialist

Location: Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. Flexible working conditions available.  

Position: Permanent part-time (21 hours per week)

If you want to work in a supportive team environment alongside passionate and talented individuals who have a genuine passion for the work that we do, then this could be the right role for you! As part of the National Partnerships team, you will take responsibility for managing the acquisition, cultivation and socialisation of supporters who wish to leave a gift in their will for the work of Baptist World Aid Australia.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated, incredibly driven individual, who is excited to take ownership of this opportunity in Bequest development. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. With a solid understanding of the international aid and development sector and Christian principles in development, you will engage with supporters who have indicated an interest in leaving a gift in their will, building relationships to optimise bequest income.

As a Christian, you’ll share our vision for a world without poverty as God intends… and participate enthusiastically in prayer sessions, biblical reflection sessions and church services.

1. Demonstrated experience building relationships with a diverse range of people, including the ability to influence and change people's opinions.

2.  Describe your communication skills. Tell me about an experience where you were required to use your communication skills to either a) communicate sensitive information, or b) communicate information you knew the receiver would be resistant to, or c) delivering a successful presentation.

3. Describe your understanding of the international aid and development sector, and of Christian principles in development.

4. Please describe your faith as an authentic committed Christian.
