(incl. Social Media, Raising Brand Awareness and Advocacy)
Time required: Approximately 2 hours per
board meeting (6 times per year). Plus a possible 2-4 hours per week
(only when required or as needed).

About Hopes and Dreams Inc
Hopes and Dreams Inc (H+D) is a an evangelical Christian, faith
based overseas development organisation (Not-for-Profit) registered with ACNC and
focusing on supporting “in Country” projects in developing countries.
H+D is dedicated
to delivering self-sustaining, poverty breaking solutions through micro
enterprise and water development projects in Africa and India.
As an organisation we believe that these two mains keys:
- Bringing access to clean
water (coupled with education) can break the cycle of generational
poverty; and
- Micro Enterprise
Development (i.e. economically empower women to have their own small business).
Each of these solutions are aligned to help achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals set by the United Nations to Transform our
World.
Since established in 2010 H+D has impacted over 100,660 precious
lives and completed over 1,000 projects.
Targeting:
Countries that H+D currently supports include Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa
and India.
About the Role:
H+D is currently seeking to recruit 2 Board/Management Committee
Members with expertise in either of the areas listed above.
We are
seeking individuals who are committed to the mission and vision, who share and
live out our core values and beliefs, who are ethical and integrous, who bring
energy & fresh ideas, who are active and can contribute practically within
and between meetings.
Each role
carries the typical expectations of an NFP Board member in providing strategic
direction and governance to our organisation. This is not an advisory board
role but one where you will need to roll your sleeves up and get involved. We
see this opportunity as a privilege to serve at the organisations highest level
and be part of this Kingdom ministry.
The Board
is keen to hear from born again Christians with a proven track record in either
the Fundraising and/ or Marketing & Communications, who have a heart for
kingdom focused, self-sustaining solutions in developing countries and who want
to make a real difference in the world.
We welcome applications from those with sound judgment and
integrity who share H+D’s passion to provide self-sustaining solutions and to
share the hope of Christ as an integral part of that solution.
The H+D
meets every second month in the evenings. Board members may also serve on Board
Sub-Committees from time to time, which meet on an as-required basis.
