Youthworks
is seeking a Fundraising Specialist to join our Fundraising team. The
Fundraising team is responsible for developing fundraising strategies and
executing campaigns and appeals that effectively engage donors and supporters
with Youthworks’ mission and vision. In doing so we raise funds for Youthworks’
ministry teams in all channels. This is achieved through the development and
distribution of collateral as well as websites, social media and internal
communications.
About the role
The Fundraising Specialist is responsible for developing and driving
direct marketing and digital campaigns and appeals, including development and
management of the regular giving program. This position will contribute to
Youthworks’ financial objectives through compelling communications and
excellent donor stewardship, and by optimising existing campaigns and
introducing new campaigns.
Your responsibilities
- Develop, implement,
monitor and evaluate direct marketing and digital campaigns and appeals to meet organisational budgets and drive
revenue growth
- Contribute to future fundraising
strategies, defining business goals and outcomes
- Work closely with internal
communications and marketing teams to ensure all supporter communications are
accurate, timely, on-brand and on-message
- Management of the monthly giving program and value growth activities,
including the regular giving life-cycle from acquisition to upgrading. This
also includes product design and reporting on internal and external agency
deliverables
- Contribute to the
development of all aspects of supporter care, retention and engagement
including upgrades, payment recovery and recognition/stewardship, thanking,
calling and stewardship events
You will need to demonstrate
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Media or PR, or 2+
years of equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written communications skills and ability to write for
different audiences and channels
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to quickly establish
rapport and work effectively with a wide range of people to achieve outcomes
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, ability to
manage multiple set deadlines and be flexible to changes in priority
- Strong research and
analytical skills, particularly ability to report and draw insights from web
and social analytics
- Strong work ethic with the ability to think
strategically and execute tactically
- Current driver’s licence
- Proficiency in using a range of software applications, including
Microsoft Office and CRM
- Willingness to do further training to upskill as required
- A personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican
organisation
It is desirable but not essential that you
have previous engagement with Youthworks’ ministries, knowledge and experience
of Sydney Anglicanism, and basic social media content creation skills.
