Our Client, Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is
an expanding charity with a strong vision, who operates nationally to equip the
local Church so that it can effectively serve the poor and share the gospel in
their local communities. They do this through a number of frontline services,
all of which are designed to both relieve poverty and tackle the causes of
poverty whilst sharing the gospel. CAP is passionate about equipping churches
with tools to offer practical help and hope to those trapped in financial
distress.
They are now seeking to appoint a new Director
of Marketing & Fundraising to provide strategic and creative leadership to
the F&M team with the purpose of increasing the number of people joining
the CAP movement nationally. You will be responsible for creating an integrated
fundraising and marketing strategy that increases support, income and partners
of CAP through compelling Marketing campaigns in all their forms. You will
also;
- Be part of the Executive
leadership team.
- Provide leadership for the
fundraising and marketing team with the goal of increasing the number of
individuals and churches partnering with CAP.
- Evaluate and develop CAP’s
current fundraising and marketing strategies with the aim of increasing
revenue, church partnerships and the number of people being helped by Church
partners.
- Work closely with the CEO to
develop, deepen and strengthen the CAP Australia brand.
- Build a strong team culture of
innovation, evaluation and learning.
You will be an astute servant leader who is
strongly aligned to the values of this Christian charity, who has the unique
ability to inspire others, to build excellent relationships with key
stakeholders, including major donors and church leaders and have a proven track
record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and
mentored highly effective teams.
The successful candidate will possess an
entrepreneurial orientation coupled with an ability to build capacity to
sustain ongoing growth, as well as possessing a good mix between strategic and
operational skills. You’re highly organized, have proven experience in
fundraising and marketing, possess excellent people skills, are tertiary
qualified and have a passion for helping the disadvantaged.
Your knowledge and understanding of the
Christian landscape in Australia will be vital to this role as will your
willingness to travel. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to
