The Role

Providing high level executive administration and coordination support to the CEO, this role will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO’s Office, Board and Executive team by using initiative and resourcefulness to undertake a wide variety of high-level functions and tasks associated with strategic leadership of the organisation. As part of the CEO Office Team this role is responsible for providing leadership to two Executive Assistants who provide support to the Executive Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Manage general enquiries to CEO’s office, both internally and externally, ensuring a high level of confidentiality and customer service is provided to both internal and external parties
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with other organisations, clients, external stakeholders and the wider community in consultation with and under the direction of the CEO
  • Lead a team of two Executive Assistants and ensure effective and timely support is provided to the ELT Team
  • Develop and maintain a range of administration and records management systems, including CEO information management, due diligence processing and maintenance of required registers
  • Liaise with, support and provide leadership to other Executive Assistants and administrative roles to develop their expertise and maximise their effectiveness
  • Project coordination support as required to the CEO

The Person

As an Executive Assistant that possesses extensive experience supporting a CEO you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Superior organisational and time management skills and ability to priorities competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate on behalf of an executive leader
  • Experience leading a small team is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a self-managed and independent manner, as well as take direction to align with a leader’s preferred style
  • High level of computer literacy to assist with efficient production of materials as required Specific employment requirements
  • Personal alignment to the ethos of a value-based Christian organisation
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Baptist movement is advantageous

Specific employment requirements

  • A valid Department of Human Services Working with Children Check
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People training (can be obtained in employment)
