Working with the churches, Scripture Union is a movement that aims to:
- make God’s Good News known to children, young people and families, and
- encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer,
so that they may come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian maturity and become both committed church members and servants of a world in need.
Scripture Union NSW is an interdenominational organisation that pursues these aims through a variety of activities including approx. 200 school groups, over 30 camps and approx. 36 missions organised across the state, by a small but capable staff team working in partnership with over 2,000 volunteers.
The next State Director of SU NSW will lead and inspire staff and volunteers to work innovatively and creatively, as they share God’s Good News across NSW.
We are looking for a servant leader with spiritual, theological & relational maturity who mobilises others to use their gifts to shape and achieve the SU NSW vision.
We are looking for someone who has proven skills in leading Christian ministry; someone who is prayerful, Bible loving, demonstrates visionary leadership, a strategic thinker and can manage change.
We are looking for someone who is self-aware of his or her own strengths and weaknesses, lives with integrity and walks humbly with God.
We are looking for someone who has a passionate conviction that God has called them to lead SU NSW in partnership with churches, the wider SU network in Australia and like-minded organisations.
