Northside Christian College is a rapidly growing school with big ambitions for each student. The College is set in a tertiary education precinct in the City of Whittlesea in Bundoora, Victoria. Northside provides engaging learning opportunities for students from Prep through to Year 12 with the mission to “Transform lives through Christ and the wonder of learning.” We provide an innovative learning framework within a safe and supportive Christian environment.

Job Description:

Northside Christian College is run by a Committee of Management, currently comprised of seven people, the Chairman being the Senior Pastor of Encompass Church (or their delegate). Members of the Committee of Management are volunteers. In order to be considered for the role, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the Christian ethos, philosophy and values of the College.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • A new member of the NCC Committee of Management is required to have the following skills:
  • Proactive commitment to NCC’s Christian ethos, philosophy, mission, vision, values and frameworks
  • Community leadership or representation
  • Ability to apply sufficient time and effort to achieve the objectives of NCC
  • Demonstrated experience in committees/associations/boards and corporate governance
  • Preparedness to publicly identify with and champion independent, Christian-based schools
  • Current WWCC eligibility
  • Ability to meet the ACNC requirements of a Company Director

Desired Skills and Attributes

In addition to these essential skills, the Committee would highly consider candidates with skills in any of the following areas:

  • The Law and how it relates to Independent schools
  • Human Resources and/or Employment Relations
  • A thorough understanding of the trends and issues in school education, specifically those within independent schools

As a not-for-profit organisation, NCC does not remunerate Committee of Management members for their position.
